The Showcase is back!

With the international travel opening up, we are thrilled to get our annual Showcase back up and running.  We have some of the very best US colleges signed up to attend including Ivy League institutions, NCAA winning programs and everything in between.

This event is for female hockey players only from Year 10 and above and will follow a tournament format.  GK's will have their own 40 min session in the middle of the day led by us.  We advise that players be county level as a minimum standard.  Players will receive an information sheet outlining the details of the day once your place has been booked.

New Golf Consultant, Lizzie Prior

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Lizzie Prior to the team as our new golf consultant.  We have followed Lizzie's career from county golf all the way through to a highly successful collegiate career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  

Following a highly successful amateur career in England, Lizzie finished her college career with 4 collegiate individual medallist honours.  She shot the programs lowest ever single round by shooting an -8, 64.  She has the tied lowest 54-hole tournament score in UNLV history with a -16, 200.  She was a 3 time Mountain West All-Conference honoree and helped the Rebels win 3 straight Conference Championships.  

We couldn't ask for a more experienced, successful and inspiring golfer to assist our young golfers find the perfect scholarship in the US.  Lizzie states; 

"It's my pleasure to announce that I will be working as a consultant for Aspire USA. Partnership announced with Sport 101

We're thrilled to announce this week our partnership with Sport101.  Through the use of technology, the latest coaching techniques and an innovative approach, Sport101 enable young hockey players across England to maximise their potential.  We have a shared passion for long term development of athletes and with this in mind, we will provide all Sport101 players free USA sport scholarship information, a free assessment and create opportunities to showcase talent to US coaches.  Founder, Mike Irving states;

New Soccer Consultant

We are excited to welcome Chris Smith to the Aspire USA family as our new soccer consultant.  Chris's current role as International Soccer Academy Manager with Celtic FC means he is positioned right at the heart of soccer in the US.  In his role at Celtic, Chris manages soccer clubs across 25 different States in the US which he will visit frequently throughout the year.  Chris has coached at the highest level in the UK including coaching the Scotland U17 National team, meaning he is best placed to identify talent.  We are looking forward to his input in assessing potential male and female soccer clients, assisting with placement of clients and utilising his extensive network and knowledge in the US.  Chris is passionate about soccer and the opportunities for talented athletes in the US and we cant wait to be working with him.

Announcing Partnership with Centurion 'Future Leaders Program'

We are so pleased to announce our official partnership with Rugby Centurion to deliver a world- leading 'Future Leaders' programme.  The Future Leaders Programme enables students between the ages of 16-19 to unlock their leadership potential through live digital coaching and online learning.  This is achieved by using leasers in sport and business to help build tools and tactics that students can implement immediately.

At Aspire USA, our mission is to best prepare every client both mentally and physically to maximise the opportunity they have in the US. By teaching each client mental resilience, high impact leadership, sound decision making, winning culture and how to be an effective team mate in a high performance setting is key to not only a successful college career, but life beyond. 

The course covers 6 modules all online with bi-weekly masterclass leadership coaching, centurion athlete insights, first access to new digital leadership content and entry to the annual leadership awards.  Aspire USA will host a virtual classroom that our clients can access at any time to complete the course.  For more info, visit:

Due to the COVID-19, we have decided to move the Showcase to Sunday 6th December.  The venue is still to be decided but it will be in vicinity of Surbiton HC.  December is the main time of the year US coaches travel internationally to recruit so I expect a higher number to attend.  
Players who have already reserved their place will automatically be entered into the December showcase.  For new sign ups, the link will be open until the showcase however we are operating a first come, first serve basis.

2019 - 2020 Start of the Season

The 2019 -2020 season has kicked off with a bang for the Aspire USA clients.  With preseason in the bag, we are well into the start of the season with huge success.  Alice O'Hagan was awarded MAC Offensive Player of the Week, Louisville, Iowa and UNC are all undefeated and many more impressive results.  Good luck for the rest of the season!

Our Inaugural Showcase 2019 was a big success.

Despite the rainy showers throughout the day, our first Showcase at Surbiton H.C was a big success.  With 14 US colleges in attendance from California to Rhode Island, we were thrilled with the standard of play across all age groups and the girls were able to produce their best hockey.  Watch this space for all the exciting news to come in the upcoming months!

Aspire USA in California.

Aspire USA left behind the snow and rain in the UK late January to head for the winter sun in California to explore colleges on the west coast.  We had the pleasure of visiting a host of different colleges in northern California namely Stanford, University of California Berkeley, University of California Davis, University of the Pacific and Santa Clara. What incredible opportunities on offer on the west coast, well worth the extra few hours on the plane!  We look forward to bringing you some exciting news about our clients to come.

Nina is heading to the University of Michigan.

We are thrilled to announce that our lovely client, Nina Apoola has committed to the University of Michigan.  Considered one of the foremost research universities in the United States with annual research expenditures approaching $1.5 billion, it has 50 MacArthur Fellows, 25 Nobel Prize Winners, 6 Turing Award Winners and 1 Fields Medallist affiliated with University of Michigan. 

Athletically, the Wolverines compete in the Big 10 Conference and have produces 250 athletes or coaches who have participated in Olympic events, winning more than 150 medals.  Congrats, Nina, we cant wait to see you in Michigan blue!

Cailin commits to Northeastern

We are so pleased to announce that our superstar client, Cailin Hart has committed to a field hockey scholarship to Northeastern University right in the heart of Boston.  One of the most selective colleges in the US, Northeastern was established in 1898 as a private experiential research university and has spent the past century perfecting the integration of rigorous academics and experiential learning opportunities, thereby creating the world's most powerful learning experience. 

Athletically NU Huskies compete in the Colonial Athletic Association against some of the top teams in the US.  We couldn't be happier for Cailin and her family.  Congrats!

Boston Trip Fall 2018

Aspire USA had the pleasure of travelling to Boston this Fall to visit Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Boston College and Northeastern as well as a day trip whale watching in the beautiful Cape Cod.  Watching the Harvard field hockey team and client Rachel Greenwood, win the Ivy League Conference was a real highlight.  Taking in the MIT museum, raiding the college bookstores for college apparel and visiting the wide range of colleges that the wonderful Boston has to offer was just a pleasure.

Lynn commits to Stanford

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Lynn Vanderstichele has committed to Stanford University on a field hockey scholarship starting next year.  Stanford is one of the most exclusive universities in the world and with athlete alumni like Tiger Woods, the athletic program is world class. 

The Stanford field hockey program is consistently ranked top #15 in the NCAA Division 1 and play in the America East Conference.  Lynn intends on studying Biochemistry and we have no doubt she will make the most of the Californian sun!  Huge congrats, Lynn.

Chicago/ Michigan Trip

Aspire USA hit the road in the U.S last week to visit colleges in Evanston (Illinois), Ann Arbor, East Lansing and Mount Pleasant (Michigan).  The trip included tours around Northwestern University, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Central Michigan University. 

Aspire USA sign 3-year Sponsorship Deal with Surbiton HC

We are excited to announce that Aspire USA have joined forces with Surbiton Hockey Club to provide opportunities for their colt players to access scholarships to attend University in the U.S.  Surbiton HC is a premier hockey club in Europe with a thriving junior section and we are looking forward to providing opportunities for them to develop their hockey and study for a degree in one of the best sporting environments in the world. 

Look out for Aspire USA at various events at the club including information evenings, family days and colt matches.  There are more exciting events in the pipeline so watch this space!

Iona heads to Fairfield University.

We are delighted to announce that our lovely client, Iona Armour has committed to Fairfield University.  Iona is a graduate student who recently graduated from St. Andrew's University and plays her club hockey at top Scottish club Grove Menzieshill. 

Having represented Scotland U21, Iona decided she wanted to play and study for a masters in the US College system.  Fairfield University is a private University on the coastal town in Fairfield, Connecticut and was ranked #3 in the Northern Region and ranked top 15 in the country for Graduate Programs. 

The Fairfield Stags are a Division 1 athletics program and the field hockey team competes in the MAAC Conference which they won in 2017.  We are thrilled that Iona is attending such a quality institution and we wish her the very best of luck. 

King's Bruton School celebrate client Emily Wastell.

Client Emily Wastell has been praised by her school, King's Bruton for leading the way in current students studying abroad.  Aspire USA secured an athletic scholarship for Emily to attend St. Louis University in Missouri. Emily was also awarded the prestigious Dean Scholarship for her outstanding academic achievement which she will utilise by majoring in Health Science. 

Emily has had two visits to St. Louis University and had this to say about the camps "St Louis is a vibrant city on the Mississippi River and I am so excited that I have the opportunity to live and study there for the next four years whilst representing the university playing a high level of field hockey in Division 1. 

The university is in the heart of the city, the facilities are amazing and everyone I have met has been so welcoming.  I would definitely encourage more people to follow this path, although the process is lengthy it brings many incredible opportunities and a huge sense of achievement!".  Well done Emily, we are thrilled for you.

Lorna and Cailin selected for Scotland.

Congratulations to our two Scottish clients, Lorna Crawford and Cailin Hart who have both been selected for the Scotland U18 women's hockey ahead of the EuroHockey Championships II. 

The team will head out on the 15th July to the Czech Republic and kick off their campaign with pool matches against Wales, Russia and Lithuania. Good luck girls, bring the trophy home!

Rachel's Harvard story makes the press.

We were so proud to read Rachel Greenwood's interview in the Lancashire Life magazine recently.  Rachel tells the story of her journey from getting scouted by Aspire USA after watching seeing her play, to committing to Harvard and everything in between! 

After narrowing down her scholarship offers from some of the very best colleges in the States, she decided to do an 'Official Visit' to Princeton and Harvard last October.  Loving both campuses, she felt that the style of hockey at Harvard would suit her better and decided to give the next 4 years of her life to Harvard. 

Aspire USA will be heading to Boston in October to watch Rachel play and to pick up some amazing kit!  Well done, Rachel.  What an incredible role model you are to young girls and boys who have ambition to play sport and study at the highest level in the world.

Daisy is heading to South Carolina.

We are so thrilled to announce that our client Daisy Ruhle is heading to Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina. Limestone is a private, 4-year co-educational, liberal arts college in the stunning town of Gaffney. 

Limestone College Saints excel in NCAA Division 2 athletics with the field hockey program winning 15-4 last season. Limestone field hockey have a rich history in producing All-Americans and winning ECAC Conferences, so we are very excited to see how Daisy can add to this already successful team. 

Daisy is no stranger to success having made England Schools National Indoor Finals and playing the in the English national league.  She will bring a wealth of experience to the Limestone team and a great personality.  Good luck, Daisy.

Charlie is offically a Blue Dragon.

A massive congratulations to our lovely client Charlie Herbert who has committed to Hutchinson Community College on a golf scholarship. 

Charlie will be heading to Kansas this Fall to study and to compete in the NJCAA Division 1 program.  With 19 overall NJCAA appearances, 18 Region VI Championships, 7 Jayhawk Championships and 6 Top 10 NJCAA Div 1 finishes, Hutchinson is one of the strongest golf programs in the NJCAA. 

Charlie was the BB&O Order of Merit winner in 2017 and 2016 along with many Top 10 finishes in major county and regional tournaments so we are excited to see what great golf Charlie can produce! Well done, Charlie.

Emily commits to SLU.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Emily Wastell has committed to Saint Louis University for the Fall 2018 season.  Emily was not only awarded an athletic scholarship but she was awarded the prestigious and highly selective 'Dean Scholarship' for her academic ability which we are incredibly proud of.  She will be looking to study human biology as her major. 

Emily will be playing hockey at a top Division 1 program competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference with impressive world-class training facilities. 

We are excited that Emily will be studying in the vibe of St. Louis city and will enjoy the sunny climate! Well done, Emily.

Lorna is heading to Philly!

We are delighted to announce that client Lorna Crawford has committed to play hockey at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. 

Lorna will have a full summer program of international matches representing Scotland to prepare her for a Fall 2018 start at SJU with her first game on August 16th vs Penn State.  SJU have seen a meteoric rise in the field hockey rankings in recent years and finished last year in the top 13 teams in the nation. 

SJU won the Atlantic 10 Conference title and for the first time in program history, they made an appearance at the NCAA Championships. 

The SJU campus is one of the most beautiful campuses around, has a high level of academics and is one of Aspire USA's favourite college to visit!  Well done Lorna, we are thrilled for you and know you will have a fantastic time.

Aspire USA 2018 Clients

Emilia is an Indoor National Champion.

A huge congratulations to Aspire USA client Emilia and the Repton hockey club for winning the 2018 National Indoor Club Championship.  After 5 wins and 1 draw, the Repton HC U18 girls won the title being undefeated over the weekend which is an impressive feat.  The semi final was the highlight game against Bath Buccaneers with the game ending as a 5-5 draw.  Repton got through to the final winning 2-1 on penalty strokes with Emilia slotting her stroke into the bottom corner.  Congratulations, Emilia and team.

Hannah wins 2017 National U18 Youth Award

A huge congratulations to our wonderful client, Hannah Griggs who has won the prestigious 2017 England Hockey Writers Club- National Youth Award.  The award will be presented at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge at the end of January.

Hannah has been consistently performing at the highest level in England club hockey, has scored many and important goals for Canterbury for the last three seasons and has been a top performer in the England U18 team.  Not only has she performed at a high level this season, Hannah has found time in her very busy schedule to give back to the youth section at Canterbury and has sought to inspire the next generation of hockey players. 

She has been a credit to her club and school and we are very proud of her achievements.  Well done, Hannah.

Rachel Commits to #1 Harvard.

We are thrilled to announce that our client Rachel Greenwood has committed to Harvard University! Harvard is currently ranked the #1 best University in the world so we are delighted that Rachel has accepted a scholarship to play field hockey and study in the Fall 2018.

After visiting Princeton and Harvard back in October, she felt that the Harvard campus was the place for her and the style of hockey Harvard play would suit her skills and athleticism the best.  Harvard alumni include Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Matt Damon and hundreds more of the most influential figures in history so we are excited to see what Rachel and her classmates will achieve over the next 4 years. 

Rachel will study for a Bachelor of Science and intends to specialise in Biological Studies.  Well done for your hard work and patience through this process, Rachel and we can't wait to watch you in action next fall.   


Rachel Greenwood wins 'Player of the Tournament'

Congrats to our brilliant hockey client, Rachel Greenwood who won 'Player of the Tournament' at the 2017 Futures Cup. 

The Futures Cup is a 4-day tournament where the best hockey players in England, Scotland and Wales come together to compete for national team selection at U18 and U16 level.   

Hannah captains team to Champions of Kent

Congratulations Hannah Griggs and the Kent College hockey team who are champions of Kent 2017.  Aspire USA client, Hannah Griggs in her last year at KC, captained the team to a wonderful victory. 

After 2 clean-sheet victories with a 3-0 and 6-0 victory in the morning, KC faced Sevenoaks in a cagey affair in the Final and eventually won the game in extra time.  Congratulations girls!

After a successful sophomore year in the States, this summer in the UK she finished T5 in the Astor Salver, and runner up in the English Women's Open Match Play.  We look forward to seeing what Lizzie can produce in her junior year as a Rebel.
