One of the fundamental differences in the structure of sport in the US compared to the UK is the lack of club sport after college. If a talented US player isn’t picked up by their National Team after graduating, there are very few opportunities to carry on playing sport at a competitive level. Aspire UK creates another player pathway for graduating athletes by providing links to the best clubs and university teams in the UK. Not only will this give you a ‘second chance’ at making a national team on your return to the US, but it will also be an unbeatable new life experience abroad. So often graduating student athletes aren’t ready to give up their sport, so we aim to facilitate extending their sporting career in another direction.
